"It's been a fun journey competing in the F1 esports events with the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) Hublot Esports Team. It was a great feeling to lead my first (Virtual) F1 race and finish inside the top-ten. Now the focus is back on real-life racing and making sure I get the season off to a strong start."

Qualifying for the final F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix series saw Callum Ilott involved in the heavily competitive qualifying and in the end, the Ferrari Driver Academy member finished the session as the 12th fastest driver.

Starting the Canadian Virtual GP from the sixth row, Callum got a good start and was involved in the fight within the top ten. Ilott opted for the single stop strategy, staying out longer and in doing so led his first F1 race before making his mandatory stop as he made the change from soft to the hard tyre. Keeping it clean and consistent in the closing stages, Ilott eventually crossed the line in eighth place.

Now the action switches from virtual to real with the first round of the FIA Formula Two season commencing with the Austrian GP coming up on 4-5 July.
